Hand Lever Turret
The
Hand Lever Turret is a very precision piece of equipment. The one
pictured here was manufactured for the 9 10 & 13
Lathes. This Turret has a Sliding range of 4, and takes
Standard .625 Turret Tooling. Accuracy of indexing is _+
.0005 measurement taken fully extended. Weight varies
naturally, for different Lathes this one for the 9 is around 75
lbs while the 13 Hand Lever Turrets weight is around 130 lbs. Turret
A is
the Hand Feed Bed Turret and comes with the same accuracy as it's
smaller cousin. This was designed for the big 16" Lathes.
Tooling is 1 ½ with a Slide range of 8.875. Weight is a
little over 500 lbs. Turret
B is
the Hand and Power Feed Turret. This came in three different Feeds
Changes, which provides 144 unique Feeds from .0006 - .0193.
Weight is a little over 400 lbs and pictured on the 2-H at bottom
of page.
These links Turret A & Turret B are pop-up pictures...so you may want to enable your browser

The South Bend Double Tool Cross Slide
South
Bend really had the idea when the engineers developed their
version of the Double Tool Cross Slide. A very stunning apparatus
that fit on to the carriage giving the Operator, the simplicity of
set up. South bend created all the tooling imaginable for this
instrument.

South Bend 10" Turret Lathe
This
10 version also came with the 3 ½ bed, and could be
purchased with either a Bench Model or Floor Model (pictured
above). Personally I like the Floor Model as it gives a place to
rest one foot. Weight of this Floor Model is 1350, while the Bench
Model is 1250. 10"
