Sheldon 3000 Series

The Sheldon Horizontal Milling Machine came in two different Makes the 3000PQ & the 3000P. The 3000PQ was the Cadillac and came Standard with a Quick Change Gear Box for power feeds with instant reverse, and is Backgeared. The 3000P does not have the Backgears, and does not have the Quick Change Gear Box to control the Feed Rates.

In Later Models Sheldon developed the Trade Mark Tach. It mounts in the front of the Machine next to the on off switch (pictured below)

Sheldon Vertical Head Attachment

The No.9041 Vertical Milling Attachment can be tilted in any angle on any plane, parallel to the face of the mill, or perpendicular to the face Speed are 380, 700, 1200, 2500, & 5200 and also uses the B & S No.9 collet

Sheldon Dividing Head

The Sheldon Dividing Head has two Standard plates 15 – 20 and 21 – 33 and 37 – 49 holes. The dividing head can be set 100 below horizontal to 100 beyond the perpendicular. 7/8” hole through spindle and the spindle is 1 ¾” 8 T.P.I. This also uses the B & S No.9 collet

 

Coolant System

1/8 h.p. And is a centrifugal type mounts to the back of Base
