Hardinge CHNC

Pictured with the General Numeric Control. The CHNC was way a head of its time. Every detail that went into the manual & other automatic machine was also used in this revolutionary machine for Hardinge. 

The CHNC has precision Ball Screws instead of the Hydraulic/Pneumatic feed of the AHC. The latter models came with a lot nice & smaller Allen Bradley control.

The CHNC like the manual chucker had an 8 station turret. Threading could be done straight from the turret unlike the AHC & HC, which needed the AT (automatic threading)
