Of course the two men (Magnus & Rudolf) that
designed what we know today as the BRM
Model-M never dreamed of the EZ-Track™ Let
alone the BOSS Series
Bridgeport Pattern & Mold Works Built the
Standard, by which all knee Millers are made today. Starting with
attachments for other Vertical Milling Machines in the 1920's. They moved
into building their own vertical version in 1938, which the very first one
produced now resides at the Henry Ford Museum. I am fortunate enough to
own the 30th mill ever made. It has a B & S #7 spindle taper. Spindle
speeds are 275, 425, 700, 1050, 2100, 4250 RPM powered by a 1/2 H.P. 110V
motor

EZ - Track
The EZ - Track is the milling machine that most
CNC Knee mills are made after. Whatever Bridgeport built someone
else tried to produce as well, but no other machinery maker has
been as successful as Bridgeport Patter & Mold Works, not even
Hardinge who is now the owner of the Bridgeport Knee Millers

R Head with Double pulley
This particular mill pictured above was at
Bridgeport Machines before they closed the doors. I believe the
Serial number was 7. Not much of this machine is actually
original. The machine is defiantly a one of a kind. A friend of
mine who is now retired from Bridgeport actually helped put this
machine together. The original table probably would have been a
32" & not the 48" pictured.

| The Machine pictured has the two JHeads mounted side
by side next to the 3D Hydraulic Tracing Unit, Made by True
Trace, in So. Calif |
This Type increased the Capacity of the Duplicating
Capabilities. The JHead could be mounted off center so large parts
could be placed on the table.
This also had the Famous True Trace 3D Valve
